Kate advises employers on a range of employment law issues. While also providing advice to large organisations such as GirlGuiding, CIPFA and private health providers, Kate has in particular a wealth of experience in providing advice to HR managers of SME's in respect of the handling of both day-to-day HR problems and major transitional issues such as TUPE transfers and collective redundancies. She is renowned for providing clear, practical and commercial advice. She has assisted a number of SME’s through the Auto-Enrolment process.
Kate drafts plain-English employment contracts and bespoke staff handbooks as well as consultancy agreements including with an eye to the FCA for financial institutions and contracts for foreign companies starting up subsidiaries in the UK.
Due to her experience as a lecturer and tutor and having provided training on a variety of issues both in-house and in external workshops to HR professionals, Kate has solid teaching experience enabling her to provide inspiring and useful management training on HR issues.
Kate is a strong supporter of workplace mediation as an excellent tool to tackle disputes in the workplace and, as an ADR accredited Workplace Mediator, she brings to the table a range of legal and personal skills to assist parties to find a solution.
