Keeping options open in 2010

As businesses plan for 2010 they are putting a high premium on flexibility and looking for open options on business space, says Capital Business Centre Manager Carol Matthews. Carol sees an increasing number of businesses being attracted by this easy-in, easy-out way of taking business space.
She says: “Businesses are looking forward to 2010 with renewed confidence but although many feel the corner is being turned they are still very cautious. Businesses are seeking to keep all their options open and retain as much flexibility as possible and that’s just what we can offer them.
“Our monthly licence allows businesses to let high quality space without the long term commitment of a lease and has the additional benefit of cutting down on legal costs. Arranging leases can cost more than £1,000 but our simple licence is a no-cost process.
“We also give businesses the option of varying the amount of space they take, allowing change easily on a monthly basis, and many take advantage of this additional flexibility.”
Carol reports that although some businesses have reduced the amount of space taken in recent months other businesses have taken further space and secured steady growth and expansion.
Carol adds: “We want to support our Centre businesses in what are still tough economic times and enable them to get ready to take full advantage of the recovery ahead. By providing space on a very practical and flexible basis we allow businesses to plan for the future with confidence.”
The Capital Business Centre is located on a self-contained site off Carlton Road and provides high quality managed workshops, studios and offices with space for more than 90 businesses.
