Charity fundraising success
25 Jan 2010
Staff at CEC’s Churchill Square Business Centre have launched a year of charity fund raising with a successful raffle for Demelza Hospice Care for Children.
Demelza offers short break respite care to children, young people and their families and has bases in Kent, Sussex and South East London. Churchill Square staff regularly include the charity in their fund raising efforts.
Churchill Square Administration Assistant Glynis Fell presented a £100 cheque to Hayley Richardson, the Area Fundraising Manager for Demelza, and further fund raising is being planned.
Glynis said: “We know that the charity does a fantastic job and needs to have funds coming in from as many sources as possible. We would like to thank all those who contributed to the raffle and we plan to hold another raffle in the spring and to follow this up with a special summer event for Demelza.”
The next charity fund raiser at Churchill Square is the raffle of a special hamper for Help for Heroes, the leading charity helping wounded servicemen and women returning from Iraq and Afghanistan.
