Milton Keynes Business Centre always likes to go that little bit further and welcomes new and different ideas. So when there was a chance to stage an evening concert for tenants by the up and coming band The Floe the only question to settle was the date. An evening just before the May Bank Holiday was agreed and a supporting barbecue planned.
Centre Manager Lynn Patey-Smith said Centre businesses had welcomed the chance to get together on an informal basis.
She said: “This was an opportunity to meet and chat and also listen to some very good music. I think everyone enjoyed themselves and we certainly would like to hold other evenings like this.”
The Floe with Sarah Springett (lead vocals), David Booth (guitar & vocals), Simon Edgoose (drums & programming), and Liz Townsend (keys & vocals) were on a tour following the release of their debut album “No Looking Back”. Their straightforward melodic rock – think Dido and you are in the right area – was enjoyed by all.
