Milton Keynes Business Centre is now the local base for both of the City’s MPs. The constituency offices of Mark Lancaster MP (Milton Keynes North) and Iain Stewart MP (Milton Keynes South) have been relocated to the Centre at Linford Wood.

Iain Stewart’s assistant Ruth Jury said that cost savings would be made through the sharing of space and efficiency would be improved by an easy exchange of information between party workers in the North and South constituencies.

Ruth said: “It’s a good location for us with the Business Centre being very near the boundary between the two constituencies. We needed to move in immediately after the election and the Centre staff helped us get up and running quickly.”

Some constituency surgeries will be held at the Centre but the MPs will also hold other surgeries across their constituencies.

Milton Keynes Business Centre Manager Lynn Patey-Smith said Capital Enterprise Centres (CEC) was delighted to be able to welcome the MPs to the Centre.

She said: “We hope that the MPs will be able to stay closely in touch with the needs of local businesses in what are still difficult times. Certainly they will be able to see at first hand how businesses are making a steady and sustained recovery from recession.”
