Help is on hand for the beleaguered residents of Kings Hill who have lost their internet access following the ending of the Quicknet service. The nearby Churchill Square Business Centre has stepped in to offer free of charge wifi or cable access to anyone over 18 who is not working at Churchill Square.

All residents have to do is contact reception at 70 Churchill Square to book a slot and they can come along with their laptop and have use of an office. To book e-mail churchillsquare@capitalspace.co.uk or tel: 01732 523415. Availability is in office hours 8.30am – 5.30pm and is on the basis of fair usage.

Centre Manager Sue Billings says that Capital Enterprise Centres (CEC) would like to help local residents through a difficult time.

She says: “Losing your internet access at home can cause all kinds of problems. Students living at home who have just left College may now be job-seeking and need to circulate CVs and in busy homes all kinds of things need to be ordered through the internet including the all-important weekly shop!

“Hopefully homes at Kings Hill may soon have a new internet provider but until then anyone who wants to use the internet at Churchill Square will be very welcome. Initially we will be offering a service for 3 months.”
