11.05.07 Business Centre is an off plan hit!

The new £8.8m Milton Keynes Business Centre has signed up its first tenant in record time, with property specialist Total Lettings reserving a unit eight months before the Centre is due to open its doors.

CEC Operations Director David Clapham said the early reservation underlined the great potential of Milton Keynes Business Centre and confirmed that since groundbreaking in February there had been a very high level of interest in the development.

He said: “It is quite usual for us to sell off plan at our new Centres but reservations are usually made two or three months before opening. We were delighted to see the level of interest at Milton Keynes and the early reservation confirms the demand for high quality business space.”

Total Lettings Partner Robin West said that the combination of new purpose built offices, state of the art communications and the flexibility to take additional business space as needed had proved very attractive.

He said: “Total Lettings is a company committed to growth and we wanted to make sure we had the right base for the next stage in our development. We are taking a long term view and we know that waiting a few months to move into exactly the right offices will pay dividends.

“As a property letting company ourselves we were impressed by the quality of the overall package offered by CEC. Our strength as a business is attention to detail and we saw the same approach taken by CEC.”

The Milton Keynes Centre is one of the largest developments undertaken by CEC to date and will provide more than 54,000 square feet of fully managed workspace including offices, studios and workshops.

The Centre is being built on a site off Foxhunter Drive with an open campus style setting. Work on the Centre is well advanced and on target for an end of year completion.

A full layout of the Centre is available on the CEC website www.capitalspace.co.uk . Businesses can reserve units on-line. Early sign-ups are rewarded with a 25% discount. Visits to CEC’s Greenway Business Centre at Harlow can also be arranged.

In addition to a full range of office, studio and workshop space the Centre will offer a comprehensive Virtual Service for businesses working from home and a full range of business continuity arrangements, all available on an easy monthly licence.
