Lorraine King, Centre Manager Greenway Business Centre posts the petition with over 500 signatures to Arriva

20.10.06 BUSINESSES BACK BUS SERVICE PETITION

A petition from local businesses calling for the extension of bus services into Harlow Business Park has been presented to the Shires and Essex regional office of Arriva.

Businesses have given enthusiastic backing to the petition and petition organiser Lorraine King, manager of the Greenway Business Centre, says that more than 500 business people have signed.

She said: “The response has been fantastic and we have had support from both the Harlow MP Bill Rammell and the Harlow Chamber of Commerce. We believe we have put a very strong case to Arriva which demonstrates the need for a service extension and highlights the widespread support from local businesses.”

Organisers are hoping that Arriva will review the extension of services as a priority, and will be continuing their campaigning. Lorraine King can be contacted at the Greenway Business Centre tel: 01279 408100 or e-mail lorraine.king@capitalspace.co.uk.
