05.09.07 Further Expansion at Churchill Square Business Centre
The wraps have just come off another extensively refurbished office building at Churchill Square Business Centre at Kings Hill.Nearly half of the 27 new high quality office suites now available have already been taken and the first businesses are moving in. Interest in the remaining units is high.
The refurbishment of 60 Churchill Square is the latest phase of a £12m scheme which is converting an impressive group of 1940s listed RAF buildings at the former West Malling Air Station into a major new Business Centre.
In all, seven buildings are being converted, six of which are former accommodation H blocks, together with a large mess building. Completion of the latest work leaves only one final building to be refurbished.
CEC Operations Director David Clapham says that the redevelopment is progressing well. It remains a challenging refurbishment but we are delighted with the end result. We have been able to preserve many original features of the listed buildings while also installing everything needed in the modern office, including state-of-the-art data communications systems.
