Virtual Office services for businesses working from home and home workers

29.01.07 Harlow Lifeline for users of axed phone service

Lorraine King, Manager of Greenway Business Centre in Harlow has come to the rescue of companies let down after a vital service was axed.

Harlow Council took over the Latton bush Business Centre lease from Harlow Industrial Association in November and gave users a month's notice that it planned to cancel their telephone answering service. The centre's switchboard, used by both tenants and non-tenants, no longer transfers calls, takes messages or relays faxes, rendering telephone and fax numbers on company's vehicles, stationery and pre-paid advertising obsolete.

Lorraine King said she was so surprised and disappointed at the decision that she is offering non-tenants, such as those who operate businesses from their homes, one month's free use of the Virtual Service at Greenway Business Centre.
