25.04.07 Milton Keynes Business Centre takes shape
The new £8.8m Milton Keynes Business Centre is quickly taking shape on a site off Foxhunter Drive. After a February start several buildings already have structures to roof level and the project is on track for an end of year completion. This one of the largest developments to date undertaken by CEC and will provide more than 54,000 square feet of fully managed workspace including offices, studios and workshops.
CEC Operations Director David Clapham said that there was high demand for business space locally and considerable interest had been shown in the Centre from the outset.
He said: We are receiving regular enquiries about the space available at the Centre and many are viewing the business space available on plan. We have a full layout of the Centre on our website and businesses can reserve units on-line. Early sign-ups are rewarded with a 25% discount. Visits to our Greenway Business Centre at Harlow can be arranged for interested parties.
Contractor ISG Jackson has been able to press on with construction helped by mild weather and the structure of the Centres six buildings, with dedicated office, studio and workshop blocks, can now be seen clearly.
David Clapham added: While at this stage detailed discussion with potential tenants is mainly based on plans it is also helpful to be able to see buildings taking shape on the ground.
We are delighted to be able to develop the site near Linford Wood which will give us an open campus style setting for the Centre together with excellent transport links for businesses at local, regional, national and international levels.
In addition to a full range of office, studio and workshop space, we have a comprehensive Virtual Service for businesses working from home and a full range of business continuity arrangements, all available on an easy monthly licence.
