Each CapitalSpace centre is proud to not only provide business accommodation, but also help support business growth within their local economies. That’s why we help host the Heart 4 Harlow business awards, to celebrate the well-deserved success of local companies who are helping to fuel progress and success.

What it’s all about

The awards are dedicated to bringing together companies based in Harlow to foster a closer business community and celebrate its success. The awards are split into various categories: innovation, small business, young person, website/social media, new business, medium/large business, employer of the year and customer care.  Over 300 local business people attended the award ceremony, which was held at the Manor of Groves Hotel.

Ian Hudson, general manager at Harlow and District Chamber of Commerce, said: ‘We were delighted that over 290 people – including the finalists , sponsors and key players in the local business community – joined us at the Manor of Groves Hotel in October to see 16 Community and 8 Business Awards presented.  It was great that CapitalSpace sponsored the Small Business category. The evening was a celebration of the best of Harlow.’

Tough decisions

Greenway Business Centre have been sponsoring the awards for the last five years. This year we sponsored the small business award category, which was won by Hotdoors, who offer kitchen fittings and accessories. Lorraine Lee, centre manager at Greenway, was on the judging panel and said: ‘Over 25 businesses were put forward and nominated for the awards, and the two days spent judging the winners of each category were very exciting. It was great to see the diversity of businesses put forward and it really shows the drive and enthusiasm for Harlow as a business hub, from both up-and-coming companies and established firms. All the winners fully deserved their awards, although it was definitely a close fought contest between the runners up.’

We were proud to play our part in supporting businesses in and around the Harlow area and look forward to next year’s Heart 4 Harlow awards.
