We love being able to support our customers, so we’re delighted to have been able to call upon the expertise of Euro Fire, who have been at Capital Business Centre in Croydon for over 13 years, to supply and fit all the fire extinguishers for the new Building 80 project at our Churchill Square Business Centre in Kings Hill.

Leaders of fire protection

Since their start in 1999, Euro Fire has grown significantly, becoming a leading, independent fire protection company. Partner Martin Hughes explains that the company developed out of his own background in insurance and fire equipment: ‘The business is based upon the installation and maintenance of fire extinguishers and fire alarms, though we offer a complete protection service to our customers by the use of specialist contractors for other protection equipment. I started in the insurance industry and gradually got involved with specifying fire equipment. With the changes in that industry, moving from specifier to provider seemed a good career step and owning the business was an obvious choice.’

A strong business relationship

One of our original customers at CroydonEuro Fire chose the Business Centre for a number of reasons: ‘It was fairly central to where we all lived, it was accessible to all and also had easy access to central London via the A23 corridor, which at that time covered some 70% of our clients. The added benefits were the copious parking, the flexibility of scaling up or down, the reception services and it was also at a reasonable cost.

‘The Business Centre continues to offer us easy access to these premises and to our customers’ sites, although the latter has expanded in number and diversity of location. The flexibility of the site remains attractive and the ability to expand within our current premises or take other units or offices on is still a useful facility, should the need arise. The size of premises allows us to hold a suitable level of stock, and as this is not too bulky the size of the unit is good for our needs at present.’

Looking ahead

Euro Fire has a lot of variable to consider when looking to the future: ‘Our plans for the next five years are not cast in stone, and with the current economic upheaval it is probably not the time to be looking to vastly expand our customer base or take on new staff. We are looking to maintain our level of customers and sales turnover and achieving the level of growth to provide a decent standard of living for staff and the business partners.’

It’s been great seeing Euro Fire grow over the years they’ve been with us and we have built a strong partnership with them. We can also vouch for their superb services as our chosen fire safety supplier for our Building 80 project at our Churchill Square Business Centre in Kings Hill
