If you are planning to relocate your business elsewhere but still want the reliability and benefits that a Capital Space unit brings, why not check out our other business parks located across the South and South East? That is exactly what civil engineering and asset management company, Bridgeway Consulting, now based in Croydon, did back in September 2018.

Bridgeway Consulting Ltd. is one of the UK’s leading consulting and contracting companies within the rail and civil engineering industry. Specialising in providing a wide range of services to meet all of the client’s needs in project-delivery, the company is headquartered in Nottingham, but bases one of its regional offices in our Croydon Business Centre. The team recently moved from Capital Space’s Churchill Square Business Centre after occupying an office space there, for the last five years. Founded in 1995, the company has seen much success over the past few years and was awarded The Queen’s Award for Enterprise: Sustainable Development 2017, named in the London Stock Exchanges Top 1000 Companies to Inspire Britain in 2016 and 2017.

Working nationwide

Business Development Specialist, Tom Foster, says, “We’re trying to offer a one-stop shop for the industry, whereby we can cover many elements of what the client requires, while offering a high-quality product and keeping safety as our number one priority.”

With plans to work with large, nationwide companies over the next few years in the offing, a move for Bridgeway Consulting was inevitable. Keith Boyd, Principal Project Manager (South) of Site Investigations explains, "We were looking to place ourselves nearer to the clients that are advantageous to us. They’re based in Croydon and nearer to London, and Capital Space’s Croydon Business Centre has good links to the M25.”

Given Bridgeway’s portfolio of recent work, which includes projects such as Thameslink, Crossrail and HS2, the decision to move the regional office to one of London’s outer boroughs was undoubtedly the right one.

Still making the most of great support

The choice to remain part of the Capital Space family is testament to the services we offer our customers. “We were particularly keen to continue accessing some of the facilities that Capital Space provides. We needed the space, meeting-room availability, space for storage containers and the potential to secure industrial workshops to scale up capability from the office,” says Keith Boyd. Our Croydon Business Centre also provides Bridgeway Consulting with facilities for both internal and external training and offers 24-hour access for staff who work onsite, and a base for site work teams deployed from Croydon.

Bridgeway Consulting’s recent move is an example of how business relocation requires tactical thinking. If you are a current Capital Space customer planning a relocation or expansion of your business to other locations, but want the guarantee that your new tenancy is as reliable, beneficial and familiar to you and your business as possible, check out our other business parks located around the South and South East.
