This year St. George’s Business Park is proud to sponsor the Swale Fusion Festival of Light Parade! Get your lanterns ready for this fun, free event that fills the town of Sittingbourne each year with a wonderful display of twinkling lights, drums and community spirit.

The Swale Fusion Light Parade aims to bring the local community together to celebrate its shared values with light, drums and friendship. It’s now in its third year, thanks to Kent Equality Cohesion Council  in partnership with Cohesion Plus  with the support of Swale Borough Council .

Sparking imagination in Kent schools

St George’s Business Park is one of the sponsors who are providing materials to local schools to make their own lanterns. The children taking part will work with artists to design their lanterns around the key values of respect excellence equality  and friendship , which are celebrated as part of this festival. We can’t wait to see what their imaginations will bring to life!

The following schools will be taking part from across the Borough:

First free lantern making workshop

Our sponsorship means the first ever free community lantern-making workshop will be able to take place as part of the festival activities. The event is planned on Oct 5th between 11am-1pm at Ideas Test  , 34 High Street Sittingbourne. There will also be Bhangra Dance performances in the town centre during this time, so come along and get creative so your fabulous lantern can join in the parade!
