An extraordinary reign
The longest reigning monarch in British history, Queen Elizabeth II has become a loved and respected figure across the world. Her record-breaking reign has seen her travel more than any other monarch, at least 1,032,513 miles journeying to 117 countries on her many visits and tours. A devoted royal, she has been a consistent and unflappable figurehead of the UK and the Commonwealth during times of considerable change.
Several events across the UK were held across the unique bank holiday weekend of 2-5 June, including official events, such as the annual Trooping of the Colour parade, the Platinum Jubilee Pageant, and Platinum Party at the Palace. There were also many public events and street parties held.
Street parties in Chelmsford and Croydon
Both Waterhouse Business Centre in Chelmsford and Capital Business Centre in Croydon hosted street parties on the 26 May. In Chelmsford, customers were treated to a brilliant Robbie Williams tribute act and supported their nominated charity Farleigh Hospice with a £5 entry ticket. Those attending brought along their own picnic and enjoyed additional provision of cakes and refreshments. Our Croydon customers enjoyed their party with games, raffle prizes, a royal tea, cake and refreshments.
Kings Hill go wine tasting
After a successful launch event back in February, Churchill Square Business Centre in Kings Hill hosted a special, Platinum Jubilee wine tasting in May. Hosted by expert Jo Seguss, customers thoroughly enjoyed the one hour tasting event for red wine lovers.
Thank you to all our customers that attended our Platinum Jubilee events, especially those at Waterhouse, Capital Business Centre and Churchill Square who helped organise them. It’s always a delight to see how well our business centre network come together.
