It's amazing what a cup of coffee can do to help people living with cancer. Money raised by large and small coffee events all over the UK helps to fund essential information and counselling centres, specialist Macmillan medical staff, buildings for cancercancer who are in financial difficulty

Here are just a few examples of where the money goes:

  • £9 could pay for one person to be helped by CancerLine.
  • £22 could fund 100 copies of The Cancer Guide, a comprehensive information booklet for people living with cancer.
  • £32 could pay for the Macmillan Benefits Helpline for one hour. The Macmillan Benefits Helpline has helped people gain extra benefits of an average of £2,000 per patient per year.
  • £50 could buy a liquidiser for someone who can’t eat solid food.
  • £92 could pay for a patient’s yearly prescription.
  • £100 could pay for new clothing for someone who has lost weight due to treatment.
  • £103 could fund a Macmillan nurse for one day.
  • £180 could allow someone with cancer to keep the heating on when they really need it.
  • £350 could pay for a much-needed holiday for someone with cancer and their carer.

In 2004 over 30,000 supporters raised an incredible £5.3 million!

Please come along and join us for a coffee, and make a donation in exchange. Events are being held at Chelmsford, Croydon, Harlow, Kings Hill and Sittingbourne. Please contact your nearest Centre for details.
