Professional eBay selling specialist XS Items has made an important move of its own – to brand new office space at Chelmsford’s Waterhouse Business Centre to accommodate the rapidly growing business.

XS items, which takes any items that can be sold on eBay and provides a complete selling service for individuals and businesses, has been trading for 7 months and in that time has seen demand for the team’s expertise greatly increase.

The new 1250 sq ft unit at the Waterhouse Business Centre will house the entire XS Items operation in Chelmsford which includes a drop off point for goods, a research and photography area, storage space for items and a packaging and despatch point.

Ian Montgomery, managing director of XS Items which has three other branches in Colchester, Sudbury and Ipswich, said: “We were originally based in a smaller unit in Viaduct Road but as interest in our services took off we quickly realised we needed more space. Waterhouse Business Centre is an ideal location with easy access for customers and plenty of storage room for larger items and business stock.”

The service provided by XS Items includes research into the likely sale value, photography, preparing the description, uploading the details onto eBay, managing the auction, processing payment and dispatch of goods. In exchange, the firm takes a percentage of the final selling price.

Ian continued: “eBay is a growing phenomenon and more and more people are chosing to sell unwanted items through the online auction site. But to make the most of the service and gain good returns you need time and professional guidance – which many people don’t have. That’s where XS items steps in and we are also seeing an increasing number of businesses turning to us for help in selling excess stock.”

XS Items has successfully sold a number of high worth goods for customers including the sale of a collection of old motoring books for a Chelmsford man which had been estimated at a value of £154 but fetched £800 with the help of the experienced team.
