Strong Demand for New Business Space

New offices and workshops in the recently completed £3m extension at Waterhouse Business Centre, Chelmsford are being quickly snapped up. More than half the space in the 18,000 sq ft extension has already gone and interest in the remaining eight units is high.

Space is being taken by both existing Centre businesses which are expanding and by relocating companies looking for high quality business space. Among the first companies moving into the extension is Access Fulfilment Ltd.

Access Fulfilment provides a tailored sales fulfilment service offering order processing, storage and inventory management, pick and pack and distribution anywhere in the world.

Access Fulfilment Managing Director Dave Hughes said that as a business already based at the Centre it was a big advantage to be able to take additional space on a flexible basis.

He said: “We were very impressed by how straightforward the move was. There was no hassle and as before we were able to secure the offices on a simple monthly licence. We are a growing business and being able to take more space just when we wanted it was ideal.”

Operations Director David Clapham said that Waterhouse Business Centre could now accommodate up to 80 businesses and offered an excellent location with good transport links.

He said: “We have been delighted to see the new extension units being taken so quickly and there continues to be strong interest in the few remaining units.”

In addition to a full range of office, studio and workshop space the Centre can also offer a comprehensive Virtual Service for businesses working from home and a full range of business continuity arrangements, all available on an easy monthly licence.
