CEC sees optimism remaining high in small and medium sized companies in Croydon with many planning for further development and expansion and seeking new business space.

Several growing companies have recently taken managed office and workshop space at the Capital Business Centre and companies already located at the Centre have also taken on additional space.

New businesses moving to the Centre include Multikey, Stadia Safety, and Kingswood Cleaning. In addition established Centre business Chris Evans Consulting has taken further space.

Kingswood Cleaning is a locally based eco cleaning company that only uses products which are 100% natural or from environmentally friendly manufacturers. The business is Croydon based but is picking up business across South London.

Managing Director Annette Heywood said the move to the Capital Business Centre was part of a long term plan to steadily develop the company by adding new services.

She said: “We are now bringing in a full ironing, dry cleaning and repair service and it was the right time to take additional business space. We are cleaning experts and the appearance and maintenance of the Capital Business Centre impressed us from the start.

“We wanted to have a company base in good quality premises that reflected the high standards we set and the Capital Business Centre provides excellent offices which enable us to present just the right image for our company.”

Centre Manager Carol Mathews says that demand for business space has come from a broad range of sectors including professional consultancies, service industries and start up businesses.

She said: “There appears to be a continued shortage of high quality business space in the area and the idea of taking space on a flexible licence rather than a long term lease appears to be growing in popularity.”

Managed office, studio and workshop space are still available at the Capital Business Centre. A comprehensive range of property management, secretarial and business support services is provided. Everything is covered including administrative support, meeting room management, state of the art telecommunications and internet access, postal services, telephone answering and access to business catering.

A Virtual Service for businesses working from home is available giving a Business Park address, mail and telephone answering services and access to meeting rooms and office space. Larger companies can also take advantage of bespoke business continuity arrangements. For more details contact Centre Manager Carol Matthews on 0208 916 2000, or log on to www.capitalspace.co.uk.
