As business optimism rises, Colchester Business and Seedbed Centre reports an increased interest in units from both growing businesses and new start-up companies.

Envirosigns is the latest company to take space at the Business Centre and is moving into two units to launch a new environmentally friendly business.
Envirosigns Director Robin Middleton believes that businesses of all sizes now see the sourcing of environmentally friendly and sustainable products as standard good business practice.

He says: “Businesses want to ensure that they are environmentally responsible in all aspects of their work and this can easily include signage as well as other more obvious areas for going green.

“Our company will use recyclable materials from sustainable resources and our inks will not contain environmentally damaging solvents. We are also looking to cut our carbon footprint and we will use the nearest source for materials whenever possible.

“Envirosigns is also determined to show that being environmentally friendly does not increase costs but brings savings for customers.”

CEC Operations Director David Clapham said that the company was delighted to welcome another green business to the Centre.

He said: “Our own Centres are designed to be environmentally friendly and we encourage and provide the facilities for the recycling of business waste. We also take care to make sure that the environment and surroundings of our Centres are maintained to a high standard and we are pleased to have gained environmental awards for this.”

Space is let at the Colchester Business and Seedbed Centre on a simple monthly licence with a fee that includes on-site management, maintenance, building insurance, refuse collection, security, water rates and the cleaning of common areas. Flexible easy in – easy out terms allow businesses to set up and expand without commitment to long leases. A Centre Manager provides property management services.

In addition to a range of office, studio and workshop space many Captial Business Centres also offer a comprehensive Virtual Service for businesses working from home and a full range of business continuity arrangements for larger companies.
