ICRI Global Research’s new postgraduate training facility at Milton Keynes Business Centre has been opened by Mark Lancaster MP.

At the new facility the main focus will be on pharmaceutical research training with around 70 postgraduates studying for a Masters in Clinical Research. The courses are designed for overseas students, with most initially coming from India.

Around TBA senior representatives from academic, government and business organisations attended the launch, including delegates from the Indian High Commission and UK Trade & Investment (UKTI).

Mark Lancaster said he was delighted to see an impressive new training facility open in Milton Keynes. It would establish a network of important international links that would be of lasting value.

He said: “I would like to congratulate all those involved and give a warm welcome to the first students. I am sure this venture will be a great success and help support countries seeking to increase their expertise in global pharmaceutical markets.”

ICRI Global Research has taken a dedicated building in the Office Village at the Milton Keynes Business Centre with specially configured offices and training rooms.

Capital Enterprise Centres Operations Director, David Clapham said that CEC was delighted to see the launch of an important new facility at the Centre.

He said: “ICRI Global Research is helping develop new global markets in research and training and we are delighted that the company selected the Milton Keynes Business Centre as its headquarters.”

ICRI Global Research Chief Executive Professor Anthony Woodman said that the support provided by the Milton Keynes Business Centre had been impressive and had allowed the training facility to be completed to a tight schedule.

He said: “The professional Centre team were great to work with and our experience here has all been very positive.”
