Summer parties across the South 

Though the weather has certainly decided that summer is over, that has not stopped residents of our business parks celebrating the last few days of summer. Last month, staff and residents of many of our business centres got together for some final summer celebrations. 

Waterhouse Business Centre, Chelmsford  

Recalling this summer’s Olympics, perhaps, our Waterhouse Business Centre clients celebrated with a sporty celebration on 18 September. Determined to make the most of the glittering summer rays, our Chelmsford residents celebrated in style with a golf-themed party. Attendees turned up in style, teeing up their golf apparel, donning their finest argyles and topping it all off with a visor or two. They all looked like winners to us.

Milton Keynes Business Centre   

Moving over to Milton Keynes,  the team and residents brought the wild west to life: sporting their best checks, chaps and ten-gallon hats. It was less Milton Keynes, and more Mississippi as staff and residents tried their hand on the bucking bronco and grabbed a drink at the local saloon. 

Churchill Square Business Centre at Kings Hill

Kings Hill celebrated by giving back: hosting a site-wide summer raffle to raise money for their chosen charity Gillingham Street Angels, a local charity doing amazing work to support and assist people across the Medway area facing homelessness, food poverty and financial hardship, amongst a host of other issues.

We congratulate our lucky raffle winners, including: 

• Joe Gluck FCCA and Charlie Logie ACCA from Gluck & Co ltd who had a massive lucky streak, winning not just one, but two of our top prizes 

• Dale Hardwick and his team from Charles Edward Limited 

• Stephen from Scott & Associates Financial Planning 

• Andy from Empire Lift Group Ltd 

However, it’s safe to say that everyone felt like a winner as residents helped to raise an incredible £277. Combined with the centre’s other fundraising activities since January 2023, it makes an amazing total of £1,733 for Gillingham Street Angels. The Capital Space team extends their greatest thanks to everyone who participated in the fundraisers throughout the year. 

Whilst our commitment to providing stellar service to businesses of all sizes is our number one priority, we believe a positive business space is one that knows the balance between work and play, and we think last month epitomises this!
