Kings Hill
Investing continuously in our business accommodation ensures entrepreneurs have an inspiring, functional space to work and meet clients. Churchill Square Business Centre provides high-quality amenities, and recent site enhancements across our Kings Hill business centre focus directly on improving daily operational efficiency, security, and sustainability.
Upgrades
We have installed new benches across the site to improve outdoor comfort, solar panels in building 30 to boost sustainability, replaced security cameras for clearer, safer monitoring, repainted car park lines for better visibility, fitted a new entrance bollard to slow traffic and protect customers, upgraded our bin sheds for easier waste management and upgraded TVs in our meeting rooms to ensure seamless presentations. By adding trickle vents in selected offices we have improved airflow, providing a healthier work environment an future proofing for changing environmental conditions.
Redecoration
We have started work to freshen up the communal areas in building 70 and our building 80 reception, as well as our meeting rooms, in order to elevate your clients’ experience.
Events
We host free monthly business growth sessions with expert speakers and seasonal networking events at Easter, Christmas and during the summer – all with free refreshments. We have installed additional notice boards to keep you informed and continue to offer free customer TV advertising and free marketing stories to promote your business.Future
We are planning further improvements to the car park, including line repainting works, plus solar panels on building 20.
Chelmsford
Making a great first impression is vital when welcoming new clients or recruiting talent. Waterhouse Business Centre has received substantial workspace upgrades, ensuring that the centre remains a modern, eco-conscious base for growing teams.
Eco-friendly
We invested £11,000 to transform the landscaping and plants in the outdoor area opposite the cafe, whilst installing new picnic benches made from recycled plastic bottles. This project has helped to brighten up an area blighted by overgrown weeds and brambles and provides an informal meeting space and luncheon area for our customers, encouraging them to spend more time outside. We have also introduced environmentally friendly kitchen resources in all the communal kitchens and added additional PV panels.
Reception
First impressions count which is why our reception area has benefited from a new front desk, offering a more professional, modern setting for visitors. We have also invested in new soft furnishings in the break out space, providing a more attractive and comfortable space for customers and their clients.
Meeting rooms
We have integrated our meeting rooms with smart media technology, enabling customers to deliver seamless and sophisticated presentations. We have also upgraded the Air Conditioning units on the first floor of A block.
Harlow
Providing clean, energy-efficient workspaces allows small businesses to focus on growth without property management headaches. Greenway Business Centre has received extensive site investments ensuring the centre delivers modern comfort and reduced operational friction.
Upgrades
We have spent £300,000 on refurbishing 12 washrooms, a shower room and four kitchens across the site to provide more attractive, modern facilities for customers.
Energy Efficiency
A new £18,000 gas boiler in A block has replaced an ageing system to improve energy efficiency and comfort for businesses, supporting customers’ ESG and sustainability goals.
Exterior
As part of our eco -friendly focus, we have installed new energy efficient exterior lighting across the site, which has improved the overall visibility around the buildings. We have also replaced all external door mechanisms and begun a programme of replacing our workshop high level lights with LEDs.
Milton Keynes
Combining environmental responsibility with high-spec amenities gives small businesses a clear operational advantage. Capital Space has upgraded facilities across Milton Keynes Business Centre, ensuring it remains an optimal hub for business productivity.
Water and Energy Saving
We invested over £10,000 in a new twin head central heating circulation pump to upgrade our central heating system across buildings A & B.
Our bathrooms have received an eco-friendly upgrade after we replaced over 30 basin taps with new water-saving percussion taps.
We have continued to invest in upgraded LED lighting across our studio and workshop units improving light quality and promoting reduced energy use.
We have invested in energy efficient air conditioning and heating in main reception to provide a more comfortable environment for customers and visitors as we continually survey other parts of the centre.
Meeting rooms
In our Milton Keynes meeting rooms, we have created a new professional boardroom with investment in new furniture, décor and updated AV equipment.
Upgrades
We invested £2700 in new flooring in our washrooms in buildings B & C and are investing over £7000 to improve kitchen facilities across our Office Village.
In our continued effort to support time outside, we have continued our investment in adding more composite outdoor bench seating. These have a long lifespan, require little maintenance and are made from recycled plastic.
We will continue a programme of regenerating our landscaping borders with the introduction of new shrubs and plants designed to support pollinators this autumn.
Colchester
High-quality facilities directly impact staff satisfaction and client perceptions. At Colchester Business & Seedbed Centre, targeted investments provide customers with clean, modern, and sustainable commercial spaces.
Refurbishment
We have made significant investments in refurbishing the washrooms in B block, spending over £100,000 to make them more modern and attractive for customers and visitors.
Exterior
As with many of our centres, we have replaced the picnic benches outside the café areas with new recycled seating made from plastic bottles.
Landscaping
We have completed meter rationalisation work to prepare for the introduction of additional solar panels. In response to customer feedback, we have reduced the amount of general waste and introduced more recycling.
New plans
The toilets in block C will be refurbished later this year, and new fencing will be installed at the back of blocks G and H.
Sittingbourne
Reliable connectivity, top-tier security, and modern facilities are vital for keeping your everyday operations running seamlessly. St George’s Business Park has undergone significant digital and physical infrastructure investments, so that it continues its reputation for providing a high-performing and secure working environment for your team.
Internet Upgrades
Following a comprehensive review of our superfast internet provision, we upgraded both the primary and failover bearers from 100 mbps to gigabit connections. This upgrade ensures seamless connectivity, even in the event of a primary bearer failure.
Customers now receive an increase in upload and download speeds from 30 mbps to 40 mbps, with no disruption to service. This improvement means faster downloads and better web performance, helping businesses operate more efficiently.
We have also introduced an enhanced package for high-usage customers. Businesses consistently using more than 200Gb of data per month per unit over a six-month period can now opt for unlimited downloads and uploads at 100 mbps.
Security and Safety Updates
We have upgraded out CCTV system to offer improved picture quality and enhance our capacity for image storage. We have invested in upgrading and expanding our fire alarm system. We invested an additional £12,000 in the installation of new suited locks for all of our customers, which are more robust than the previous system.
Improving communal areas
We repainted our communal hallways in blocks B and C as well as our meeting room to freshen up our décor. We also cleaned and repainted the exteriors of some of our studio blocks and plan to replace an old planter with a new hedge.
Loughton
Modern infrastructure, high-speed digital connectivity, and clean shared spaces are essential for maintaining daily productivity. Major structural, digital, and facility investments have been gone into Loughton Seedbed Centre, which remains a premier, highly efficient hub for ambitious SMEs.
Roofing
We have made significant improvements to our exterior infrastructure, spending £92,000 on replacing roof panels and inserting insulation on blocks B and D.
Upgrades
We have boosted internet connectivity at the centre following a full upgrade of our fibre optic cabling to 1Gb capacity. All customers now benefit from faster speeds and downloads.
New Kitchen
We have invested £25,000 on a new communal kitchen in B Block for customers to prepare and store food, make hot drinks and connect with one another away from their desks.
Further improvements are planned with a new communal kitchen in the pipeline for block D and work to maintain the external facades of our buildings.
Croydon
At Capital Space, we are not satisfied with simply keeping our business centres up to date, we want them a head of the curve. We’ve invested heavily in improving Capital Business Centre’s drainage systems, structural integrity and flood protection, ensuring the centre remains prepared for future weather conditions.
Investments
We invested £130,000 in drainage improvement works within the village to strengthen infrastructure and reduce the risk of future flooding. An additional £11,000 was spent on stabilisation and foundation works to selected buildings, improving the structural integrity and longevity of the properties.
Upgrades
We have installed upgraded signage throughout the site to improve wayfinding and provide clearer information for customers and visitors. There is ongoing refurbishment of the workshop toilet facilities, and installed new picnic benches within the village area.
Business events
We’ve launched free, monthly business growth networking events, bringing local businesses together to connect and collaborate. Our monthly South Croydon Ladies Who Latte events continue to thrive and we host seasonal events for our customers and businesses throughout the year.
Future
Following the completion of the flood protection works, we will begin the next phase of improvements across the site, which includes investment of £150,000 on drainage works already underway in the main car park area. in addition, we will install new speed bumps to improve safety, restore and refurbish external cladding, create new flowerbeds and enhanced landscaping to improve the overall appearance of the site, replace carpets throughout the communal areas, upgrade our meeting rooms and create a more welcoming reception with improved seating for customers and visitors.
