Kent Invicta Chamber Connections
Churchill Square Business Centre in Kings Hill was once again a hub of entrepreneurial energy as it proudly hosted the Kent Invicta Chamber Connections networking event for the second consecutive year. With over 100 small business owners in attendance, the event transformed our reception and meeting rooms into a vibrant space of opportunity, discussion, and collaboration.
Boasting over 195 offices ranging from one-person units to 30-desk suites, Churchill Square is designed to give SMEs the flexibility they need to grow, supported by a simple, monthly rolling licence, virtual office services, and VoIP telephony solutions. It is during large scale events like this that these additional services and provisions come in handy, allowing the flexibility to give entrepreneurs not just space, but a supportive environment to connect, share and thrive.
A business hub abuzz
The event was generously sponsored by long-standing Churchill Square customer, Mivvy Creative Ltd, a branding and design agency that has been based at the centre for seven years. After the main networking session, Mivvy went a step further by offering a free design clinic, giving fellow business owners the chance to tap into their 25 years of industry experience to ask questions and get expert advice on branding, design, and visual identity.
Guests were treated to a welcoming spread of bacon and sausage sandwiches, fruit platters, and fresh pastries provided by Spread Grazing Events, while Mivvy Creative’s very own Katrina added a personal touch by baking 100 delicious cupcakes.
The vibrant event was co-ordinated by centre manager, Toni, alongside the rest of the Churchill Square Business Centre team. She said: “I want to say a big thank you to my entire five-strong team who worked so hard behind the scenes to ensure the event ran like clockwork from start to finish.”
And that demanding work did not go unrecognised. Paul Woodger, Creative Director at Mivvy Creative, said:
“As a customer of Capital Space for the last seven years, we cannot recommend the team highly enough. Toni, Tina, and the whole team helped with promoting the event and were on hand to ensure everything went smoothly. We are so grateful for their hard work and pleased with how successful the event was.”
Our ongoing commitment to supporting businesses and causes
Events like the Kent Invicta Chamber Connections reflect what Churchill Square and Capital Space are all about: helping SMEs flourish by fostering environments where support, collaboration, and opportunity naturally occur.
As well as great food and meaningful conversations, the event had a charitable side. Mivvy Creative donated a luxury hamper in aid of Churchill Square’s nominated charity, Spadework, which provides vital care and vocational opportunities for adults with learning and other disabilities. Mivvy also ran a free design clinic after the event, helping fellow business owners sharpen their branding — a perfect example of how our customers actively support one another.
Representing Kent Invicta Chamber of Commerce, Henry Mileham, Marketing and Events Executive was impressed by the Centre’s commitment to supporting businesses and causes that they care for, commenting:
“We were delighted to see this event sell out in record time thanks to all the supportive marketing from the teams at Churchill Square and Mivvy Creative. We cannot thank the team at Churchill Square enough as they once again went above and beyond to ensure the event was a tremendous success.”
Creating opportunities for our customers
As a provider of flexible workspace for small businesses, Capital Space understands that growth often starts with a conversation; which is why we create spaces that encourage these conversations to happen.
Toni Wilkinson commented on how rewarding events such as these are for her and her team
“We were thrilled to be given the opportunity to host a Chamber Connections networking event for the second year running, which has become the highlight of our summer calendar. It was great to see so many new and familiar faces, as well as providing an invaluable networking opportunity for our own community of businesses.”
To which, Paul Woodger, added:
“We were proud to have sponsored such a fantastic event at Churchill Square today – over 100 businesses coming together to connect, share and support one another. The energy in the room was a real reflection of the strength of our local business community.”
Whether you are a customer in one of our serviced offices or making use of our virtual office services, events like these offer valuable opportunities to make local connections and gain visibility; something that is increasingly important for growing SMEs.
The bigger picture at Churchill Square
Supporting business owners with flexible space is just the start. Since January, Churchill Square has hosted a series of free business growth workshops aimed at helping both onsite and virtual customers sharpen their skills and stay ahead of the curve.
From using generative AI to support productivity to mastering LinkedIn lead generation and podcast marketing, these bi-monthly workshops are practical, focused, and free to attend. It is just one of the ways Capital Space goes beyond workspace: offering our customers valuable business support tailored to the challenges and ambitions of SMEs.
In today’s business landscape, making the right connections is as important as having the right space, and Churchill Square offers both.
